Immoterrae was created in 2011 by the Vlaamse Confederatie Bouw to provide a solution to the following problems:

  • There is a scarcity of land available and, for most strategically sited land in Flanders, there is usually a human impact or there has been industrial activity, resulting in specific soil and land risks.
  • Many construction projects struggle with the additional costs and delays caused by the underestimation of the soil and land risks, which have a negative impact on the profitability of construction projects.
  • Supply and demand of risky plots of land are out of balance because of the uncertainties and liabilities in the area of (potential) soil and groundwater contamination.

IMMOTERRAE maps out the possible environmental and land-related development risks, so that:

  • the feasibility of your project can be better estimated;
  • its development can take place quicker and more efficiently;
  • your liabilities are clear.

All of the environmental, legal and financial aspects are researched.
